On behalf of IBD Summit hosts, Interbike and the Sea Otter Classic, we would like to thank the more than 100 retailers and suppliers that helped make the conference such a success. The inaugural Summit was a gathering of some of the industry's strongest and most successful retailers who came to Monterey to experience the insightful education from high-level speakers and learn from each other to improve the performance of their businesses.
The gorgeous weather in Monterey made the event even more enjoyable as many of our attendees joined their supplier peers on bike rides along the area's famed coastal roads. Retailers from around the country had the rare opportunity to visit Sea Otter Classic, the country's largest bicycle festival, and tour the many exhibits and take in the racing action.
We've wrapped up this year's event, but our thoughts are already turning to next year and how we can make it even better than the first. Stay tuned for information about the 2013 IBD Summit and how you can take part.

I came to the IBD Summit with some reluctance since we’ve been so busy, but it’s been an extraordinary event. This is an incredible group of retailers and it’s been an honor to be here among some of the best dealers in the country. The educational program has been exceptional – one of the best events I’ve ever been to.

There was just so much great data – I’ve taken more notes in the last two days of the conference than in the last ten years of meetings. The conference has been incredibly valuable to me as a store owner – I’m chomping at the bit to get some of these new ideas I’ve learned going.

We’re really happy that we came to the IBD Summit. Each session has given us 3-4 really good takeaways that’ll we’ll bring back to our store for a competitive advantage and we’ve built relationships with some great retailers and vendors. We’re going back home energized and motivated to really step up our game.

I’ve been a big fan of this type of event for years. This is a great way for big and small companies to expand their reach with key dealers. This has been a great investment for us and I hope the event continues to grow next year. I’m really glad we came.

The IBD Summit’s been really great. There’s a lot of good interaction with other store owners and the talks about profitability have really given me some great ideas to work with in my business.

I’ve been able to make some great connections here with key retailers and build a rapport with them. We go to a lot of spring dealer conferences for our juvenile and running business and it’s great to see one in the bike industry now to complement Interbike in the fall.
